Theory On Notes Empty
PostSubject: Theory On Notes   Theory On Notes Icon_minipostedTue Dec 18, 2007 9:39 am

In the world of music there seven notes. A-B-C-D-E-F-G

There are whats called sharps and flats between the notes...a flat lowers the pitch a half-step down,
and a sharp raises the pitch up half-step.

b=flat
#=sharp

Below Ive Listed where the sharps can be at.

A - A# - B - C - C# - D - D# - E - F - F# - G - G#

as you can see there is no B#, or E# (don't askwhy...its just always been that way)

now its hard to explain in words..so just look at the thing below

Bb = is the same note as a A#
Cb = is the same note as a B
Db = is the same note as a C#
Eb = is the same note as a D#
Fb = is the same note as a E (rarely will you ever hear the word Fflat)
Gb = is the same note as a F# (same thing here with Gb)
Ab = is the same notes as a G#

below is a diagram of all the notes on the guitar
